Years ago, I came across some videos of Paula White-Cain, so I subscribed to receive her emails. I was shocked that she asked me to send money to her ministry for atonement when I knew that Jesus Christ had already atoned for my sins. Because I was concerned for those who might believe this false teaching, I created the video below. I apologize for being tired while filming, but I had been working a lot of overtime as a paralegal and felt it was urgent to get the message out!
Religious lies can hide the one and only true path (Jesus Christ), and they put people in spiritual bondage. The only way that we can know the truth is by reading the Bible.
The Bible says that we must be careful not to be deceived by false teachings. Therefore, we must examine them. Many people defend certain “Christian” pastors by stating that we should not “judge” them because “they’re a great motivational speaker” or something similar. However, the fact that these teachers claim to be Christian pastors (not a pagan teachers, motivational speakers, or anything else) gives us the right and duty to evaluate their doctrine and compare it to the Word of God, as well as warn others, so that they do not become entrapped in lies, schemes, and placed into bondage. Jesus Christ warned us of false teachers and so did the first disciples.
Jesus Christ said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:15-20 KJV
Apostle Peter said, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment” 2 Peter 2:1-4 KJV
Also, there is a difference between evaluating doctrine and arrogantly condemning people in our hearts. We do not need to remain angry to evaluate truth and warn others. We are forgive in our hearts, even false teachers, while we evaluate and warn others not to fall into their schemes and false doctrine.
It can be easy to become deceived, if we do not know what the Bible says. We’ve all heard the saying, “Knowledge is Power,” and that applies to biblical knowledge, as well. Also, we will not be fruitful without studying our Bibles because we have a tendency to forget truth (we are bombarded with lies every day). We would also spiritually starve. The Word of God is our spiritual food. It convicts and corrects our thoughts.
Yes, some teachers interpret the Bible differently, and some may ignorantly get some things wrong, but no teacher should try to make you pay for your salvation and lie about the gospel message. While some false teachers can parrot the gospel message perfectly on their websites, and even verbally at times, we must take notice of what they say to their congregants. No teacher can override Jesus Christ and His Word.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 ESV
Know and guard the biblical truth in your hearts and pray for Paula White-Cain and her congregants. Be blessed!
